West Virginia Virtual Academy Student Receives Invite to Governor’s School for Tourism

Dean, a 10th grader who attended West Virginia Virtual Academy and Mercer County Technical Education Center, has found success through a unique learning curriculum. Virtual learning, which he joined during the pandemic, has provided flexibility and support, enabling him to pursue his passion for culinary arts. Dean’s achievements earned him an invitation to the Governor’s School for Tourism, a milestone he credits to the encouragement and resources from both schools.
